Burghley was not as successful as we would of hoped.
Mega star (Dick) did a good dresssage test or at least we had thought so but one judge at C in particular did not think so!!! Leaving him on an average score of 59 after dressage.
Putting the disapointment o9f the dressage behind them, cross country day arrived. With everything to gain and feeling really excited to be back at Burghley Polly and Dick were a little to egar and jumped of the leaf pit drop a little to bold. Dick spotted the long option straight a head and Polly wanted him to turn to do the shorter option, things happened to fast and they cantered straight past the fence. Not a good start they had hoped for 20 Penaltes added to the score Polly decided to retire save Dick for another event.
A quick walk home and a new competion plan already discussed we sat back and watched the rest of the days competition unfold in the comfort of the beer tent!!! Polly and Dicky will now head to France to do Pau CCI four star in a few weeks time.
