A Great Weekend At Tattersalls International

A Great Weekend At Tattersalls International A Great Weekend At Tattersalls International A Great Weekend At Tattersalls International

We had a great week at Tattersalls with our student Michelle Kenny and Mulligan ( Show name Golden Orphan ) winning the Junior 1* by a considerable margin!! Both Achieving a personal best in the dressage phase. Well done Guys!!!

Niall had a good weekend with both of his horses Fortune Cookie & Chekov ( Rooster & Fang to their friends ). Fang did a good dressage test in the 2* despite a couple of errors and some what muddy conditions leaving him in 17th position going into cross country. A clear inside the time cross country moved him into the top 10 for the showjumping phase, where an unlucky two poles down saw him slip back to 15th.

While Fang may have had some mud to contend with in the 2* dressage poor Rooster had to deal with a ploughed field for his arena, not the prefered going of the native New Zealand TB!!!! We were never the less pleased with his test. While he may have struggled in poor conditions in the dressage he excelled when it came to the cross country making very light work of it finshing clear inside the time. With only one rail down in the showjumping he had climbed over 50 place by the end of the week!!

Overall we were really pleased with the performances of our horses and students. 3 days are always good fun but very exhausting so home for some well earned rest and on with the rest of the horse as we head to France for another 3 day event in the next few weeks with the younger horses.
