My Horses

Stable Name: Dick

After a first year spent adjusting to our English weather from his previous Aussie home, Dick is starting his second season at Kinoulton, the most experienced horse on the yard, and aimed at Badminton this May. He can look grumpy, but he's a real softy at heart!

Stable Name: Henry

A real cheeky chappie, Henry flew over with Dick and is looking forward to a full second season in the UK and Europe. He will be aimed at three star events this year.

Stable Name: Trevor

Trevor is back after a spell of time off last year, fitter than ever and raring to go. After completing Bramham in 2007, he will look for more experience at three star level in the early season.

Stable Name: Rudi

A new addition to the yard for this season, previously ridden by Julian Trevor-Roper. Rudi is at Novice level at the moment and is a real gentle giant in the stable, although a bit more exciting to ride!

Stable Name: Ash

The big baby of the yard is growing up fast this season, and he will be aimed at Intermediate level. A very talented horse who has made a miraculous recovery from a serious accident last year, with no ill effects at all!

Stable Name: Zumphie

SOLD!

One of the few mares on the yard, Zumphie is more than capable of holding her own with the boys. At novice level at the moment, she will be looking to compete at Intermediate level later in the season.

Stable Name: Rooster

On Polly's quest to find new stars, she bumped into Rooster in New Zealand. After riding him for 30 seconds, she knew she would be taking him home! He competed Intermediate in New Zealand and arrived here in February 2007.

Stable Name: Pappy

A cheeky chap with lots of attitude. Has lovely, elevated movement and a great jump. Related to Windfall who still competes at four-star level with Darren Chiaccia in the USA.

Stable Name: Lenny

Already has second nickname – BFG – as he is the tallest on the yard, but thankfully a perfect gentleman and knows how to behave. From the outset, an amazing attitude to work, very brave and enthusiastic about everything.

Stable Name: Syd

Syd is now retired from eventing, but still "playing" with Polly. He is a big softie who Polly took on at the age of 9 after he had been written off due to tendon injuries. He gave Polly a fantastic chapter to her 4* career competing in nine 4* events back to back, and he will always occupy a very special place in here heart.

Stable Name: Percy

Percy has also reached the end of his top level competition, and he retires having represented Great Britain at the Blenheim Europeans in 2005. He is still a very cheeky chap, a little horse with a big personality, and Polly is hopeful that he can still stay in competition with a young rider.
