Hi, it's me! This section of the website is for my own personal commentary on the Eventing season.
Feel free to read my ramblings below to gain an insight on what it's like to ride professionally.

Salperton was a new competition for me and Meike and was a wonderful setting. I enjoy new venues because it keeps us and the horses fresh. We had a busy day with five horses all running in the Pre-Novice and with a member of staff away, I was also head groom for the day as Meike had 3 rides and I had just 2!
Conditions were really tricky for young horses, as there were strong gusting winds all day, showjumps blowing over and debris blowing across the grounds.
Lenny (Lenox VI) and Wendel (Weisser Reise) handled the day brilliantly, both producing good dressages, double clears and a 9th and 2nd place respectively.
Freddy (Footprints in the Sand) and Pappy (my ride Papillon) both found the high winds and showjumps falling in front of them a bit troublesome early as it is in their education! But good training for the future, I think! Despite rolling three poles, in the conditions, I was very happy with Pappy, and certainly his other two phases.
Particular thanks to "Gladders" (my friend Nic) who rescued Meike and me on the groom front as things were getting really hectic in the afternoon.
