I have decided that I am retiring Limestone Rise (Syd) from top competition level. He has done so much for me - completing nine CCI four stars, including 6th at The Rolex Kentucky in 2004, 12th Burghley 2004 and 7th at Burghley 2005. Syd has taught me so much, and he owes me nothing. Although he is sound and fit and raring to go, at 18 I feel he will have a longer competition life if he drops down a level, perhaps with some pure showjumping. Some more relaxed days without the intense fitness schedule!
