Hi, it's me! This section of the website is for my own personal commentary on the Eventing season.

I was really happy with my weekend, with both Henry (B Highland Charm) and Ash (Acheron) completing tough competitions.
Ash was first to go, and in the Novice Champs he produced a good dressage, followed by just one pole down in the showjumping, and then a clear run Cross Country in a good time. This was always going to be a big "ask" for him, as he had not previously competed on an Intermediate track, and was up against a large field, all more experienced than him and including some horses that had already competed at Advanced level. I was delighted with a 30th place with more than 90 starters!
Henry produced an even more competitive dressage in the Intermediate Champs, and again just had one down showjumping. An unfortunate glance-off at a skinny cost us the chance of a top ten finish and I completed without rushing home! He will be fit and well for 3-star in a few weeks!
