Hi, it's me! This section of the website is for my own personal commentary on the Eventing season.
Feel free to read my ramblings below to gain an insight on what it's like to ride professionally.

It was great to be back at Chatsworth again, having missed last year. On the Saturday, Meike and I competed three of the four Rodbaston horses in Novice classes. Rooster and Betty both picked up their first Novice points with double clears (Betty at her first ever Novice comp.) and QT was as reliable as ever with a good test, just one pole in the showjumping (he was too busy looking at the crowd!) and an assured, clear cross country round. On Sunday, it was the senior boys? turn. Trevor (Time for T) was a star cross country in a torrential downpour (I?d forgotten what that is like)! He had earlier done a great Dressage test, despite twice spooking at the same flattened poo on the diagonal. This resulted in good, but totally unnecessary flying changes! He followed that with a naughty stop at the water tray, so he needed the good cross country to redeem himself. It was really good, for Ann Walker and me, to have him run so well Advanced after a long time away.

Hi Polly. Lovely to read your diary. it's very cold, wet, and miserable here in N Z. All my new chums are working hard, trying to take Roosters place. Also lots of gumboot work looking after cows and calves, also sheep who are only weeks from lambing. Keep up the good work on your diary and I hope Rooster does you proud.
