Brooksby and Aske Hall

Brooksby and Aske Hall

Acheron ran in the Pre-Novice at Brooksby mid-week for a confidence boost after his first Novice at Henbury Hall. I always feel it is important that they go back down a level before moving back up ? a confident horse is a happy horse. After leading the Dressage, Ash rolled one pole in the Showjumping and then gave me a good clear cross Country to finish second.

I took him up to Aske Hall for his second Novice run, and again his performance was impeccable, jumping a very confident double-clear to add to a good dressage. His seventh place gained him his first BE point.

I also took Dick for a run pre-Boekelo in the Open Intermediate, and from a partnership point of view, we had our best overall performance to date. I was pleased with all three phases, the double clear and a reasonable dressage left us in seventh place. A long day (with just parents in support) was well worth the effort.
