Babies to Rodbaston

Babies to Rodbaston

Wednesday 9th of May saw Meike and me with four horses at Rodbaston. Both the Pre-Novice and Intro were tough courses and maybe demanded a little too much for young, inexperienced horses. The two youngsters I was riding - Gabby (Caunton Star) and Betty (Abcoeur Bay) - both went really well with double clears, and after Meike and QT (Quick to Move) had produced an outstanding Dressage test, they also went double clear to finish 5th in a Pre-Novice section. Great preparation for their first Novice outing together at Chatsworth!

It is so useful to have Meike?s dressage schooling skills on the yard, particularly with the youngsters. She also rode Rooster (Fortune Cookie) to a good Dressage score, but after another clear round showjumping, they unfortunately suffered an error of course cross country.
