Hi, it's me! This section of the website is for my own personal commentary on the Eventing season.

Hooray we?ve started. I took QT and Betty in the Pre-Novice on Friday, and Percy in an Open novice. The going was perfect, which seemed unbelievable considering the mudbath in the fields at home! It was so good to be competing again. But the day didn?t exactly start smoothly. The support team (and me) was definitely rusty. Wrong side of test page learnt over breakfast ? oops! ? and Jon misheard message on getting competition numbers to the dressage ring!! Thankfully, a very understanding dressage judge.Jumping practice Cross Country had been virtually non-existent due to the wet weather, and I haven?t done my normal indoor showjumping routine this year (too many horses and not enough staff!)This was Betty (Abercoeur Bay) and my first competition together, and she was great. She jumped a double-clear and was a bit sprightly in her dressage. But I was really pleased with her first run out.QT did a lovely dressage test, then I spoilt it with a crappy showjump round. He was jumping really nicely, both of us were just a bit to keen! Cross country was amazing, and I finished with a big grin on my face. This is what it is all about!Percy was his usual star self! Too arrogant in the showjumping and cc, thinking at this level he didn?t need a rider at all.
